    • Gerardo Perez Delgado

      Executive Chairman

      Mr. Gerardo Perez is an attorney at law and serves as the Legal Director at KVL Consult Latam S.A.C., a firm that specializes in providing advice to infrastructure and EPC projects in Latin America. Mr. Perez has recently been involved with the tender process of a multipurpose port terminal in Trujillo, the Third and Fourth Line of the Lima and Callao Metro, both in Peru, and the Second Line of the Bogota Metro, in Colombia. Mr. Perez has extensive experience in management, including administrative and regulatory matters, and his areas of expertise include administrative law, regulation, infrastructure, and concessions. Before joining Minera IRL, Mr. Perez spent six years as the General Manager of Peru’s National Port Authority, where he was responsible for the planning, organization, direction, and management of this institution. He is highly experienced in corporate and financial matters and demonstrates a sound business relationship strategy.

    • Diego Benavides Norlander

      CEO and Director

      Mr. Diego Benavides is a founding executive of Minera IRL and has been involved full-time with the Company since its incorporation in 2002, and continues to be instrumental in the development of Minera’s wider profile. He is a lawyer by profession, with a graduate degree in corporate leadership and business administration. Mr. Benavides has more than 30 years of experience within the Peruvian mining sector and has served as Director and General Manager of the Peruvian subsidiaries of companies such as Newcrest Mining Ltd., Mount Isa Mines Ltd., and Renison Goldfields Consolidated Ltd. He is one of the pioneers of Peruvian social conflict management, and as a direct result of his contributions, was appointed an Honorary Member of the Community of Ollachea in 2007, a unique honor. More recently, he was recognized by the Peruvian Congress to mark the occasion of the Bicentennial of the Independence of Peru and was honored with an award of recognition for his contributions to the economic and social development of the Puno region. In addition to this recognition, the Chairman of the Board of Puno’s Regional Government also granted an award for his contribution to the development of the Puno region, which is home to the Ollachea Gold Project.

    • Jesus Armando Lema Hanke

      Independent Director

      Mr. Jesus Lema was appointed a Director of the Company in 2017. Mr. Lema is a corporate lawyer with over 25 years of experience who specializes in international economics, stock markets and foreign investment. He is a partner, as well as the Head of the Corporate Department at the law firm Thorne, Echeandia & Lema Abogados. Mr. Lema provides legal representation for multiple companies within Peru and specializes in providing advise related to the corporate strategy required for internationalization.

    • Santiago Valverde Espinoza

      Independent Director

      Mr. Santiago Valverde is a metallurgical engineer with over 30 years of experience in mining. He is a former President of the Peruvian Engineering College of Metallurgists. Mr. Valverde is a well-known and respected speaker on the topic of monitoring and environmental risk and is also the Head Professor of the doctorate program for tailings management and technology at the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería of Peru. Mr. Valverde holds a PhD in Environmental and Sustainable Development from Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal in Peru and a master's degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería.

    • Martin Mount

      Independent Director

      Mr. Mount is a British Mining Geologist and Project Planning Engineer with more than 50 years of experience working in a variety of Mining Geology & Engineering applications, including mine exploration, and open pit and underground mining operations in Europe, Africa, and the Americas. He has spent half of his career in South America, particularly in Peru and Colombia, where he was part of the senior management team of long-standing and listed mining companies such as Volcan Compañia Minera S.A.A., Minsur S.A., and Sociedad Minera de Santander S.A.S. (Minesa). Mr. Mount brings extensive experience in the conduct of due diligence, as well as in the preparation of technical audits and reports as required to meet the Australasian Joint Ore Reserves Committee Code ("JORC") and the Canadian National Instrument 43-101 ("NI 43-101"). Mr. Mount is a "Qualified Person" as defined by JORC and NI 43-101.

    • Jorge Armas

      Interim CFO / Corporate & Finance Manager

      Jorge Armas is a Certified Public Accountant in Peru and holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the Universidad Inca Garcilaso de la Vega and a master’s degree in Audit and Finance from the Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal. He has more than 30 years of accounting and auditing experience within the mining and oil and gas sectors. Prior to joining Minera IRL, Mr. Armas worked for leading mining companies such as Zibo Hongda Jinzhao Mining China, Nyrstar NV, Glencore plc, Royal Dutch Shell plc, among others.

    • Zenon Ramos

      Geology Manager

      Zenon Ramos is a Geological Engineer from the Universidad Nacional Daniel Alcides Carrión, who also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Mining Management. He has over 20 years of experience and has worked for companies such as Compañia de Minas Buenaventura S.A.A., and Pacific Rim Exploration Inc., in both Peru and Argentina. Mr. Ramos played a key role in the discovery of the Corihuarmi and Ollachea deposits and has led all the drilling campaigns and programs intended to extend the mine life of Corihuarmi and to upgrade the resource and reserve bases.

    • Pedro Valdez

      Head of Investor Relations

      Pedro Valdez has a proven background of 13 years working in planning, analytical and relationship management roles within the mining and earthmoving sectors. He brings his experience in financial analysis, forecasting of capital projects and joint venture projects. Mr. Valdez has held various senior planning and leadership positions for mining contractor Stracon SAC, where he was part of several large-scale open cut and underground mining projects in Central and South America, operated by companies such as Aluminum Corporation of China Limited (CHALCO) and First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (TSX:FM). He has an extensive network of technical senior management and financial institution contacts and a knowledge of finance, planning and marketing.

    • Susan Gabbie

      Corporate Communications & Media Manager

      Susan Gabbie is a communications professional with a Bachelor of Arts and Graduate Certificate of Global Business Practice. Her career spans over more than 30 years, where she has been able to develop communication strategies and comprehensive solutions for specific target audiences. She also brings valuable experience within the mining and construction industries in relation to integrated facility management. Ms. Gabbie has been directly involved in the development of digital and print communication as well as relationship management including direct interaction with clients creating an extensive network.
